ECONTROL^® - What is it?

ECONTROL^® - is the switchable solar control glazing from EControl Glas GmbH & Co. KG in Plauen.

With ECONTROL^® the light and heat entering each room is individually controllable. The glazing can be adapted to the seasonal and daily variations in the ambient conditions by colouring the glass as required. When the sun is shining, a press of a button is enough to change the colour of the glass to a blue tone. Comfortable lighting and temperature conditions can thus be achieved.

ECONTROL^® is the answer to the problem of overheating in buildings, façades and conservatories with large areas of glazing. Up to now, during the best summer weather, blinds and sun shades had to be drawn down. With ECONTROL^® there is no need for external mechanical shading systems. Now you can enjoy the view through your windows in summer without the restriction of blinds, but with protection from the heat.

Especially in the area of office and commercial property, the installation of ECONTROL^® has a significant effect on the potential air conditioning costs and also offers the possibility of energy-saving planning concepts geared to sustainability.

ECONTROL^® is installed just like normal insulating glass in the façade, the windows, and especially in the overhead area. Only a low-voltage electrical connection is necessary. The supplied controller is bus-compatible and easily integrated into modern building electrical systems. Both the individual control of single glass panes and the networking of complete groups are possible.

ECONTROL^® is an ideal component for concepts with natural ventilation or night cooling, in the area of energy-optimized construction and for buildings designed to the green building standard.

ECONTROL^® panes are available in sizes ranging from 40 x 50 cm to 135 x 330 cm. Thus, glazing in full room height is also possible with ECONTROL^®.
